Professor Lisa Cuchara and student Georgiana N. Kourepenos from the Department of Biomedical Science, attended Sigma Xi's Annual Meeting and Student Research Conference in Atlanta Georgia.

Professor Lisa Cuchara and student Georgiana N. Kourepenos from the Department of Biomedical Science, attended Sigma Xi's Annual Meeting and Student Research Conference in Atlanta Georgia. They presented a poster on their project, Are Vaccine Myths and Misconceptions Driving Outbreaks of Infectious Diseases? Jessica Kuchta, BMS student, also assisted in preparation of the poster. This same poster won best poster overall at the Biological Sciences Poster Session this Fall, 2016. 


Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society, is the international and interprofessional society for research. Approximately 115 undergraduate and graduate students attended the 2016 Sigma Xi Student Research Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. They participated in a networking session, keynote presentations, and professional development sessions.
